This site is otherwise static: reading a guide does not create a profile about you. The exceptions are the email subscriptions described on the updates page and anonymous aggregate funnel counts.
What we collect
Only the email address you type into a subscribe form, the list you chose, and only after you click the confirmation link we send to it. Typing an address in without confirming it stores nothing. Rule Alerts and Field Notes are separate subscriptions.
Why we collect it
To send exactly the emails you selected: sourced rule-change alerts, or occasional notes about new practical guides and tools. We do not use the address for anything else, and we do not sell or share it.
Where it is held
Your address is held by Resend, the email delivery service this site uses to send and manage the list.
Anonymous measurement
The site counts a small fixed set of events such as following a link to the paid reference, confirming a subscription and completing a paid download. These counts contain no email address, IP address, cookie, visitor ID or session ID and are stored in aggregate by Cloudflare.
How to remove it
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can also write to info@decode-japan.com and ask to be removed.
